Kokoro Academy offers friendly, structured martial arts classes for children, teenagers and adults at The Warehouse on Little Lane. Our Ilkley programme includes Tiny Ninja, Little Ninja, kids martial arts, Budo Taijutsu, Traditional Taekwondo and adult kickboxing.

Kids Martial Arts Classes in Ilkley
Our Ilkley kids programme is divided by age, so every child trains at a level that suits their developmental stage. Tiny Ninja classes are for ages 3-4, Little Ninja classes are for ages 5-7, and our kids martial arts classes are for ages 8-13.
Tiny Ninjas develop listening, balance, coordination and basic martial arts skills through short, active sessions. Little Ninjas build greater focus, confidence and teamwork, while older children progress through structured martial arts training, practical self-defence, fitness and discipline. Children aged 8 and over can also join our Traditional Taekwondo classes.
Adult Martial Arts and Kickboxing in Ilkley
Our adult classes in Ilkley are suitable for complete beginners, returning students and experienced martial artists aged 14 and over. Training is supportive and progressive, helping you improve fitness, coordination, confidence and practical self-defence skills without needing to be fit before you begin.
Choose Adult Budo Taijutsu to develop movement, balance, distance, strikes, locks and practical defensive skills, or join Adult Kickboxing for pad work, punching and kicking combinations, footwork and fitness. Adult Budo runs on Tuesday, while kickboxing classes are available on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings.
Traditional Taekwondo Classes in Ilkley
Our Traditional Taekwondo classes in Ilkley are open to children aged 8 and over, teenagers and adults. Students learn controlled kicking and striking techniques, footwork, balance and movement through structured training that develops confidence, discipline and physical fitness.
Classes support both beginners and more experienced students, with techniques introduced progressively at a pace that suits each individual. Traditional Taekwondo training is available at our Ilkley academy on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings.
